Jackie Cushman in The Wall Street Journal: Give John Adams His Place on the Mall

Jackie Cushman, president of the Adams Memorial Foundation and chair of the Adams Memorial Commission, made the case for a national Adams family memorial in the pages of The Wall Street Journal on August 6, 2026. Her op-ed, “Give John Adams His Place on the Mall,” calls on the Senate to follow the lead of the House by passing the bipartisan Adams Memorial and Great American Heroes Act, and to honor the full measure of the Adams family’s contributions to our independence, our Constitution, and our commitment to liberty under law.
